Image orthicon display case

A good friend of mine had an image orthicon tube from a 1968 television studio camera. This tube captured the light from the image being recorded and turned it into electrical impulses that could be stored or transmitted. It was state-of-the-art technology at the time and is still an impressive piece of history. I built a three-sided display case and mounted the tube on felt-covered brackets to give it the illusion of "floating" within the case. Pictures are included below.
