Dr. Moody

We have a wonderful lady in our band named Barbara. She doesn't sing or play an instrument, but she has a fantastic impact on the audience wherever we go.

Barbara has a hand-puppet named "Dr. Moody". She and Dr. Moody will walk around the audience while we sing, entertaining the residents and making them laugh at his antics. Folks who will decline a request to slow-dance from a fellow resident will smile and accept Dr. Moody's offer, dancing cheek-to-cheek with him as though they've been life-long friends. Barbara has a special gift for making residents feel really good and getting them to participate in our music. And to be honest, she makes Dr. Moody seem so alive that I've found myself talking to him without thinking that he really is a puppet!
